You’ve been waiting for the day for your Walt Disney World vacation to arrive. The last thing you want to do when you get there is waste time getting your vacation started. Here are some tips to help you make the most out of your valuable vacation time: Make dining reservations before you arrive. All Disney sit-down restaurants accept reservations 60 days ahead of time and the most popular ones will be booked by the time you arrive. To avoid wasting time searching for a restaurant while at the parks, take a little time before your trip to secure a reservation. If you’re staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, take advantage of online check-in. Disney will text you when your room is ready, give you your room number and even show you on the resort map where your room is located. This way when you arrive, you can skip the line in the lobby, drop your luggage off at bell services and head right to the parks, etc. (your Magic Band or smart phone act as your room key). Take advantage of Disney’s Rider Switch program. If you have a little one that isn’t tall enough or afraid to ride one of the attractions, this program allows the rest of your party to ride without needing to wait in line multiple times. Use the “My Disney Experience” App. Not only does this have a great GPS system to help you navigate around the parks, but you can also use it to check estimated wait times for attractions, entertainment, and dining. You can also order food, make dining reservations, check into a restaurant, and even select arrival times for Lightning Lane entrances at select experiences if you’ve purchased Disney Genie+ service or made an individual purchase. Already seen the parade or fireworks shows, take this time to ride the attractions. The lines are typically half as long. What are some of your timesaving tips?
