Have You Been to Disney Springs Lately?

​I have never really seen the draw to Disney Springs.   I usually make one trip there each trip to go to the World of Disney store and then I hightail it out of there.  But I found myself there several times this past trip and realized, I didn’t like it because I was doing it wrong!

​In the past, I would always head to Disney Springs after a long day at the parks when my feet were tired, and I didn’t have the energy to explore.  That was also the same time everyone else seems to head there, making it another reason I avoided it, THE CROWDS!  

​This trip, I went to Disney Springs early enough so I could walk around before dinner instead of after.  This gave me more time to shop and explore without dealing with long checkout lines.   Then after dinner, I could find a place to sit and enjoy the entertainment instead of rushing around with the rest of the crowd.

​I also had the opportunity to try some of the restaurants at Disney Springs that I usually walk quickly past.  I always had a few favorites.  But this time decided to only go to ones I never experienced before.  And I am so glad I did. 

I now have some more favorites.  One of them being The Boathouse specializes in seafood and has a great view of Lake Buena Vista.  It is also located at the dock where the Amphicars go out from, which is another fun thing to watch.

​Terralina Crafted Italian is a great spot to gather with friends.  They offer Italian favorites and cocktails.   And then there is my ultimate newfound favorite, Raglan Road.  In addition to the great Irish inspired cuisine (it also has some American fare), it has live Irish music and dancers on multiple stages.  It was so much fun to watch!

​So, if you’ve felt the same way I did about Disney Springs, do yourself a favor and give it another chance on your next trip.  You may just find a hidden gem!
