Benefits of Staying at a Walt Disney World Hotel

​Not Sure if staying on property is right for you? Here are some perks that may help you decide:

Disney’s Magical Express offers FREE ground transportation to your resort and back to the Orlando International Airport at the end of your trip.  You don’t even need to stop at baggage claim when you arrive in Orlando.  As long as you arrive before 10:00 PM, Disney will transfer your luggage to your resort and deliver your bags to your room.   On the morning of your departure, you can check-in with your airline and check your luggage right in the lobby.  

​No matter where you stay, your trip to Walt Disney World is bound to be Magical.  But, staying on property adds additional pixie dust to your vacation!  When you stay at one of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels, you have the benefit of convenience and great service that Disney is known for throughout your vacation.  Here are some additional advantages:

​Guests staying on property receive complimentary MagicBands which act as your “Key to the World”.  MagicBands contain your room key, park tickets, FassPass+ reservations, dining plans, Photo Pass and will allow you to make shopping and dining charges right to your room.

Once you’re ready to start exploring, just hop on one of Disney’s complimentary busses, boats, monorails or Skyliner which will take to you all four theme parks, both water parks, Disney Springs and all of the Disney hotels.  You can just sit back and enjoy the ride!

​Don’t want to carry all those souvenirs you bought around the park all day?  Just let the cast member know at check-out and they can arrange to have your packages sent to your resort gift shop.

​​Dining reservations open up 180 days in advance for everyone.  But, when you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort, you can make dining reservations 180 days prior to check-in plus up to 10 additional days, giving you an advantage to get some of the most sought-after reservations. 

​Anyone who purchases park tickets in advance has the opportunity to make FastPass+ selections 30 days in advance.  But, guests staying on property have the ability to select FastPasses 60 days prior to check-in.  This offers a huge advantage for obtaining FastPasses for some the most popular attractions.

​Guests of Disney Resort hotels can enjoy Extra Magic Hours.  This allow you to spend extra time in one of the theme parks each day, either before it opens or after it closes—so Guests can enjoy select attractions and experiences.

​In addition to all the perks above, staying on property can also save you money.  Disney often offers discounts for vacation packages and offers dining plans for on-site guests.  You can take advantage of an “all-inclusive” package and have everything paid for be for you arrive, so you can make the most of your dream vacation!
