2019 is the Year to go to Walt Disney World!

​With the much-anticipated Star Wars Land opening later this year, 2019 is bound to be an exciting year at the Walt Disney World Resort.   But, Disney isn’t stopping there!  Here’s a few more reason why 2019 will be a great time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort, "Now More Than Ever"

Magic Kingdom:
Mickey & Minnie’s Surprise Celebration: Join the party which features new merchandise, food and

​entertainment, including a new dance party with Mickey, Minnie greeting guest in Town Square Theater in all-new colorful outfits for their special celebration.  Runs from Jan. 18 to Sept. 30, 2019

​Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party Parade: This new street party replaces the Move it, Shake It Parade.  It features new music, new outfits, and focuses on Mickey Mouse.  Other characters will also be there including Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, and many others.  Runs from Jan. 18 to Sept. 30, 2019

Hollywood Studios: 
New park logo: 2019 will be the 30th anniversary of Hollywood Studios so they’re starting the year off with a big change, introducing an all-new logo for the park that will incorporate its new direction of celebrating movies and animation

All New Pixar Place: The entire area has been transformed into Metroville, the world of The Incredibles. It includes “The Super Shindig” dance party and meet ‘n’ greets with Edna Mode along with two new food spots and photo op opportunities.  Runs through September 20th.

Mike & Sully Meet and Greet: Mike and Sully will be meeting guests at Walt Disney.

​Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy:  This new show welcomes you inside the world of Pixar’s Cars films as you become part of the next generation of rookie racers learning from Lightning McQueen’s years of experience.  Begins March 31st.
​
Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge:  This anticipated new land is sure to be one of the highlights of the year.  It will feature two new attractions, dining experiences, a street market and characters from the Star Wars Films.  Set to open late 2019. 

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway:  This new attraction will put you inside the wacky and unpredictable world of a Mickey Mouse Cartoon Short where you’re the star and anything can happen.  It will feature a theme song created especially for the attraction along with high tech effects that create a 2 ½ D experience (no glasses required). 

​Epcot:
Festival of the Arts: This great fest is back with more visual and and performing arts entertainment and culinary delights than ever.  Runs through Feb. 25th.
​
Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live!:  Star-Lord and Gamora from the Guardians of the Galaxy films return this summer to take you on a musical journey.  Runs June 14th – August 18th.

Animal Kingdom:
Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party: This family-friendly event features music, dancing, games and some of your favorite Disney friends—including Timon and Rafiki.  Occurring daily on the Discovery Island stage near the front of the park.

​Tree of Life:  The Tree of Life will pay tribute to “The Lion King” with stunning projections and music paying tribute to the classic film.  Runs May 24th  - September 30th.

​Resorts:
Disney’s Riviera Resort:. This all-new accommodation coming to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida opens in December and will immerse you in the grandeur and enchantment of the European Riviera.  The deluxe resort is slated to offer approximately 300 family-friendly vacation homes, including deluxe studios, one- and two-bedroom villas, and grand villas that sleep up to 12 guests each.

​Topolino Terrace: This new, signature table-service restaurant perched on the rooftop of Disney’s Riviera Resort.  The restaurant, featuring authentic dishes infused with French and Italian flavors, will offer picturesque vistas of the nighttime spectaculars of nearby Epcot and Hollywood Studios.   It will also offer a character breakfast inspired by the Riviera.

Gran Destino Tower:  The new tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs opens in July, offering additional rooms ,restaurant and lounge.

Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood. This unique restaurant, at the top of Gran Destino Tower will offer a menu featuring dishes and small plates inspired by the flavors of Spain. Guests of Toledo will enjoy a surrealistic rooftop dining experience along with classic tapas, steaks, seafood, and delightful desserts. Reservations are now open for this new restaurant.
